We strive to provide a pleasant and comfortable stay for all our guests. To ensure a smooth experience, please review the following terms and conditions:

1. Damage:
●      Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the hotel property, including but not limited to rooms, furniture, and amenities.
●      Any deliberate or negligent damage may result in additional charges, which will be assessed based on the extent of the damage.

2. Inappropriate Behaviour:
●      We maintain a respectful and safe environment for all guests and staff.
●      Inappropriate behaviour, including harassment, discrimination, or any form of misconduct, will not be tolerated.
●      The hotel reserves the right to take appropriate action, including eviction, if guests fail to adhere to these standards.

3. Smoking Policy:
●      New Holgate is a non-smoking property. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor and outdoor areas, including rooms and common spaces.
●      We don`t provide designated smoking areas,therefore you can only smoke on the public path.
●      Anyone found smoking in a guest room will be politely asked to stop as they will be breaking the law and will also be charged £150.00 to clean the room for following guests.In the event that smoking in the bedroom comes to light after the guest departed,we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest credit/debit card,or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.

●      Any guest discovered tampering or interfering with fire detection systems or firefighting equipment within the hotel will face appropriate consequences. This includes tampering with detector heads in public areas and bedrooms, manipulating break glass points, or mishandling fire extinguishers. Guests engaging in such behaviour will be held responsible for all costs incurred by the hotel as a result of their actions and may be required to vacate the premises. Depending on the severity of the actions, the hotel may involve the Police at its discretion. In the event that tampering is discovered after the guest's departure, we reserve the right to charge the guest's credit/debit card or send an invoice to the registered address for the applicable amount.

4. Toiletries:
●      Complimentary toiletries are provided in the rooms. These items are for personal use during your stay.
●      Removal of hotel property, including toiletries, will result in charges applied to your account at the cost of £20 per toiletry.

5. Insurance:
●      We require £100.00 pre-authorisation for every reservation to guarantee the room and the reservation for any incidentals/miscellaneous.
●      Guests are encouraged to have adequate travel insurance to cover unexpected events, including trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and personal belongings.
●      The hotel is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of guests' personal property during their stay.

6. Check-In and Check-Out:
●      Check-in time is at 4pm , and check-out time is at 11 am.
●      Early check-in or late check-out requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

7. Reservation Modifications and Cancellations:
●      Any modifications or cancellations to reservations must be made within the specified time frame to avoid penalties, which is two days prior to your arrival date.
●      Non-refundable reservations cannot be modified or cancelled.


Parking costs £15 per car, per night. We have 12 Spaces and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Further car parking nearby can be found at Queen Street,NCP Car Park York Station.
